This week, in the wonderful world of ‘Whimsy Wood’, it’s all been about the ‘Story Monster’ magazine produced by Five Star Publications. I’m thrilled to tell you that ‘Posie Pixie And The Torn Tunic’, my 3rd ‘Whimsy Wood’ children’s book, is listed in their ‘Reading Guide’ section for their October edition! ๐ Please click on the link below and scroll to p24, where you’ll find all the children’s books that are recommended as great reads for this month! ๐๐ http://www.fivestarpublications.net/storymonsters_dir/pdf/story-monsters-ink-october-2015.pdf
For those of you who aren’t aware about my ‘Whimsy Wood’ children’s series, (shame on you!)ย every delightfully descriptive book is written for a specific month in the calendar, so the flora and fauna within this magical wood, change as you read through the series. ‘Posie Pixie And The Torn Tunic’ is of course written for the awesome month of October, so it’s brimming with blackberries and beech nuts, conkers and crabapples, to name but a few autumnal items!ย You’ll meet some naughty ants, Raspberry Rabbit and Mrs Spottisdowne the sparrow, along with Posie Pixie and her best friend Wibble Woodlouse of course! Raspberry Rabbit is up to her usual recycling antics in ‘Whimsy Wood’, while Mrs Spottisdowne helps Posie when she gets herself in a right old tangle! ๐
‘Chopsy-Baby’, a UK online parenting magazine, has reviewed ‘Posie Pixie And The Torn Tunic’ and their comments on my 3rd ‘Whimsy Wood’ book are:- “Think of the best bits from Enid Blyton’s fantastical stories for very young children.” So if you’re looking for an amazing autumnal read this October for 5-8 year olds, then this could be the book for you! ๐๐ย http://abelapublishing.com/posie-pixie-and-the-torn-tunic–book-3-in-the-whimsy-wood-series_p27279806.htm
